Who we are...
Faith Baptist Church is a North American Baptist Church in the very northwest corner of Minneapolis, Minnesota. The church has a growing number of young families as well as an aging population. The neighborhood is ethnically and age diverse. Regular attendance numbers between 150-170, and the worship is blended with contemporary and traditional music.
Historically Faith Baptist Church has been a strong supporter of international missions and continues this commitment today. We support several full-time missionaries as well as help support short-term missionaries from our congregation. In addition to this, we have several growing ministries into the neighborhood including Wednesday Night Men's Basketball, AWANA, Mom's in the Park, several Bible studies, youth ministries, our annual block party, and many other exciting ministries.
Theologically, we are conservative while maintaining an openness to enter into conversation with others around us. Fundamentally, we believe that the Bible is the Word of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, and that we are called to proclaim His good news in Jerusalem, Samaria, and the end of the earth. To be obedient to Christ's commands by:
- reaching up to build community with God through worship
- reaching in to build community with one another through fellowship and discipleship
- reaching out to build community with our neighborhoods and the world through service and evangelism
